Islamabad, August 10; The fifth session of the Youth Parliament Pakistan was
scheduled from Wednesday August 05 to Sunday August 09, 2009. This was the
last session for the second Youth Parliament. The session was presided over
by Mr. Wazir Ahmed Jogezai, Former Deputy Speaker National Assembly
of Pakistan and an esteemed member of the Youth Parliament Steering
Committee. The parliament discussed: Pakistan’s Relations with India and
Afghanistan, How the British Parliament works, and Culture in
Pakistan. In addition to this the incident of Gojra was discussed, issue

House, UK, the well-known Royal Institute of International Affairs, based in
St James's Square in London. Chatham House, both the name of the building
and the name by which the Institute is widely known, is a leading think tank
with a mission to be a world-leading source of independent analysis,
informed debate and influential ideas on how to build a prosperous and
secure world for all. The delegation, warmly received by Mr. Keith Burnet,
Director of Communications, Chatham House, was briefed about the Chatham

The fourth session of Youth Parliament Pakistan was
scheduled from Wednesday May 06 to Sunday 10, 2009 at Hotel Margala
Islamabad. The fourth session of the Youth Parliament was presided over by
Mr. Wazir Ahmed Jogezai, Former Deputy Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan
and an esteemed member of the Youth Parliament Steering Committee. The
parliament discussed: Impact of National & International Media on Pakistani
Society, Terrorism and its Impact on Cricket and Local Governments: Review
and Reform. In addition to these, arrest of Pakistani students in the UK,
soft-loan policy with easy documentation process for youth to pursue their
education in the country and abroad were also a part of the agenda and were
discussed in the house. The house supported the Military action in Swat
valley to eradicate the militants as well.

action in Swat is brutal and have no solution to the problems
of terrorism and War against Terror, said Imran Khan while
addressing the session of Youth Parliament Pakistan. Mr. Imran
Khan, Chairman, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf and former Captain
Pakistan Cricket Team said on the topic of Terrorism and
Future of Cricket that cricket has also suffered as a
collateral damage in so called war against terrorism.

the House, the Youth Parliament asked the nation to extend its
complete moral support to the Government and the Armed Forces
in fighting militancy throughout Pakistan.

terrorism on them came under heavy fire in the first day of the 4th Session
of Youth Parliament Pakistan 2008-2009. Both sides of the aisle severely
criticised the arrest and levelling of allegations against Pakistani
students by the UK government and demanded that Pakistan should ask for an
apology from the British government
