| Brief Profile | |||
Waqar Nayyar was born in Quetta on June 05, 1985. He completed his O’ and A’ Levels from Quetta and went on to do Bachelors in Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) in 2007. Waqar is an accomplished English Parliamentary Debater, winning both national and international awards. After having won at the first-ever Indo-Pak Debates at Delhi University in 2006, Waqar received an award from the President of Pakistan, in recognition of his Debating achievements. He has also held various student body positions at GIKI, including the President of the GIKI Publication Society and the Vice-President of the GIKI Science Society. He is also a member of the Transparency International’s Youth Club. His areas of interest include foreign affairs, energy, education, planning and development. He is strongly committed to making Pakistan a modern, prosperous and progressive state. |
