Syed Waqar Ahmed was born on August 17, 1983. He spent most of his childhood shuttling between different parts of Pakistan and although domiciled in Pakpattan identifies himself, first and foremost, as a Pakistani. He has a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biochemistry from Punjab University and is a keen scientist who keeps abreast of all scientific developments. He feels passionately about his country and is used to voicing his opinions at forums as diverse as the Punjab University Model UN Society, Punjab University Law Debating Society and the Khwarizmi Science Society. He has won 'Best Delegate' at All Pakistan Model UN Conference organized by LUMS in Nov 2007. He then went on to represent his university at MUIMUN ’08 in Germany and EUROMUN ’08 in Netherlands in April 2008. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology and will also be appearing for the CSS exams soon. Moreover, he has been doing a lot of community work, a major example of which is the development of a website called 'Olevelsguide.com' to assist O-Level students of Pakistan. |
