Samir Anwar Butt belongs to Islamabad. He was born on November 07, 1987. Samir won a merit scholarship to Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST) National University, Islamabad, where he is pursuing a B.S. (Computer Science) Degree. In 2007, Samir was selected for the Fulbright International Summer Institute. This was a month-long leadership course at the University of Vermont. In the same year, Samir was selected for a second Fulbright scholarship - the NESA exchange program. He studied at the University of Montana for the spring semester in 2008. Samir has been actively involved in debating and Model United Nations Conferences. He won the best delegate at LUMUN 2007. In 2008, Samir volunteered for Barrack Obama and was involved in organizing a rally for the Presidential candidate. Samir is a founding member and the Chief Editor of the official FAST National University magazine - The FAST Celadon. His interests include foreign affairs, law and radicalization in Pakistan. |
