The deal compromises on potential income for Pakistan.

“This house is of the opinion that the present Government should not entertain any likelihood for an interim setup and a midterm election. An objective assessment of the performance of the democratic government, however, should continue.”

“This House shall discuss women’s right to divorce by supplementing the two Legislations: Muslim Marriages Act 1939 and Muslim Family Laws Ordinance 1961 as the former legislates divorce while the latter permits polygamous marriage but is silent on women’s the right to divorce; a clause to safeguard this fundamental right of women should be appended with both the legislations and shall not be crossed out in the contract of Nikah, as is custom, to preserve this right given to women in Islam.”

Chaudhry Usman Ahmad (YP41-Punjab22), Mr. Mohammad Essam Rehmani (YP51-Sindh03) invite the attention of the honorable Youth Prime Minister to the recent disclosure by Senator Dianne Feinstein, chairwoman of the US Senate Intelligence Committee who publicly commented that unmanned CIA Predator aircraft operating in Pakistan are flown from air bases located within Pakistan.

“This House advocates a proactive foreign policy to counteract Indian water reservoir projects that it intends to construct which are a violation of Indus Water Treaty and would violate international principles.”

“This house calls upon the democratic dispensation to take immediate and concrete steps to solve the problems faced by the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of FATA and Swat as a result of military operations which will help in eradicating militancy and extremism in the region.”

Mr. Rahim Bakhsh Khetran (YP07-Balochistan05), Mr. Taimur Sikandar Choudhry (YP40-Punjab21) and Mr. Sufian Ahmad Bajar (YP39-Punjab20) to move the following resolution:

   

“This House is of the opinion that measures should be taken by democratic Government to release nearly six thousand missing persons in Balochistan including 140 women. Any person in Balochistan violating the Pakistani law should be prosecuted in Pakistani courts according to Pakistani constitution.”

“This House is of the opinion that vocational training programmes should be started immediately for the Youth of Balochistan in order to provide them with skills required to avail job opportunities emerging as the result of mega projects in Balochistan.”

“This House is of the opinion that a consensus is to be formed for the implementation of mega-projects in economy health and education sector for the people of Balochistan and distribute resources based on equality including reviewing the present NFC award.”

Mr. Zahid-ullah Wazir (YP16-NWFP04), Mr. Sher Afghan Malik (YP44-Punjab25) and Mr. Mohsin Saeed (YP29-Punjab10) condemn the gruesome bombing in Dera Ismail Khan which led to the loss of precious lives and request the government to investigate not only this particular incident but take urgent and effective steps to reverse the rising tide of extremism and sectarianism.

“This House should discuss a paradigm shift in the global war on terror. The related issues in Pakistan may be solved using an internally designed policy. A long term human development program may be proposed instead of the massive funding of the war.”

“This House of the opinion that Pakistan should re-define its current relationship with the U.S and establish a long term relationship encompassing defense, economy, and diplomatic support on Kashmir, without compromising its sovereignty and national security.”
